We headed downtown to enjoy the beautiful weather and explore some new places. First we headed to DiPasquale's.  We first heard of this store on the Diners, Drive-ins, and Dives show.  When we walked in the store it felt like a little slice of Philadelphia :)  They had tons of italian meats, cheeses, and pastas.  Also they have their own homemade mozzarella and Italian hot and sweet sausage.  So we bought both along with some fresh pasta so we could make gravy on Sunday.   We came prepared with a cooler and ice since we knew we were going to be out for the day!

For those of you who don't know what gravy is ...

Gravy is what everyone else calls sauce or marinara sauce.  In South Philadelphia, we Italians call it gravy. It is always homemade with at least homemade meatballs and Italian sausage (hot and/or sweet).  We NEVER eat anything that is from a jar (like Ragu)!

Naomi and I were waiting outside for Eric to finish up the shopping since it was pretty tight in there.  Naomi greeted all of the customers with her cute smile and cool hair (which everyone loved!) while I took some pictures.  Naomi also make it on camera for a video that John Hopkins was filming for their "Live where you work" segment.

After our trip to DiPasquale's we headed to Little Italy.  We weren't ready for dinner yet so we sat outside on a bench and enjoyed the fresh air.  While hanging out Naomi decided she wanted to dance to the music that was playing.  Then we headed to Chiapparelli's for dinner to celebrate Eric's raise.

And then no trip to Little Italy is complete without getting some gelato from Vacarro's.  Even Naomi had some dessert, sugar cookies :)

Naomi is continuing her mission to get into everything. We were playing in her room and somehow got her bag of hair things and dumped it! We are going to start packing up the apartment for our move. Hopefully that will eliminate things that she can get in to :)

Naomi is little miss "I get into everything" these days. Today she discovered the tall stack of DVDs and Blurays that Eric had next to the TV stand. Well she found them and then knocked them all over :) Naomi also decided that she wants to hold our fingers and walk everywhere. So most of the night was spend wandering the apartment.

We have another tooth! I really am not minding the fact that Naomi isn't having her usual teething symptoms with the past 2 teeth that have come in :) So July has been a busy teeth month for her.

On another note we did our pre drywall walkthrough for our new house. We are getting more excited the closer the house gets to its completion date! We forgot to bring the good camera so we have some cell phone pictures for now.

Two days in a row of nice weather! So we decided to take a walk down the street to the golf course and hang out for a little bit as the sun started to go down. Naomi was enjoying it even though she kept being sneaky and eating grass :)

Since the heat finally broke we headed to the track to jog. Naomi usually just hangs out in her stroller and plays. Now that she is into waving hi and bye, every time that we did a lap she started waving :)

We had an early morning today! Naomi was up and ready to go at 6:00 am. Since we were up so early we decided to take a trip to Wegmans and get some of our shopping done. After we got home Naomi crawled into her room and was ready to play :)
